Anthony Melbourne (LordFlahard) kept up his 100% record in real life classic tournaments in 2008 with another 100% win record in the UK Classic event.

He becomes the 2008 British Champion for the first time and improves on his 2nd place in 2007 and his 3rd place in 2006. Congrats!

I finished 2nd

David Johnson (a new player to real life tournaments) came storming into the event to finish 3rd ahead of several other seasoned British players. Well Done Dave!

In Barrage, AceRimmer re takes the crown of British Barrage Champion which he won in 2006. Quite a good year for Underground in Barrage sees him become British Champion as well as Barrage World Champion (Aug 0.

The shock in Barrage was the surprise strength of David Johnson who finished in 2nd place, taking the silver medal. Another player who played well, was Karriann Wilson who finished in a surprise 3rd place and ahead of last years British Barrage Champion Cris Sargeant. (Sir_Dagonet)

In the Junior event.........there were no shocks.
Jack Sargeant won the classic event, just like he won the "Junior Stratego Olympiad" in August and Ashleigh Ratcliffe stormed the Junior Barrage event with 100% wins to become the British Junior Barrage Champion..........and mimic her success in August when she became the Junior Barrage World Champion.

I was just glad the Barrage was 2 separate events.......Ashleigh was playing very well........and when I played her in a friendly after the tournament.....I was lucky to draw 1-1.......it could have easily been 2-0. lol

Well done to all that entered.......and special congrats goes to all the medal winners.
I will get some pics up later.

Cheers,
Ace
