Strange: missing games ???

How can someone jump up 20 points even after a draw against a lower rated player?
I investigated this (comparing overall ratings with 2012 ratings)

Conclusion: At least 1 game has disappeared out of the 2012 rating which is in the overall rating. I even cross referenced the 2011 rating just to see if there was an adjustment there..... but there was not. The game is not in the 2011 or 2012 yearly rating but IS in the overall rating.

The game I checked (I only checked 1 game, they may be more?) is the game between bajoshua and atillares.
2012-01-01 00:15 bajoshua 1544 -33 1956 -61 loss

Answers anyone?

hi ace,

i will ask spion to check the games, of course the games should be in both rankings.

investigations between the both rankings are difficult. one reason could be
games against an unrated player, but with the draw he was rated / or the
draw was just played after he was rated. (and then all unranked games come into effect)

how did you find out exactly ?

2012-01-01 00:15 atillares 1577 +33 2017 +61 win
2012-01-01 00:15 bajoshua 1544 -33 1956 -61 loss

hmm maybe because atillares in not longer in the challenge ranking, the games are also out of the list.
the game will be back in list, if atillares plays his minimum nr. of games.

but spion should check the situation - maybe there is a unkown bug.

about the rating:

atillares played

2012-07-30 01:41 dermeister 1663 +86 1967 -50 draw

in the classic overall ranking he has a rating of: 1577 (today)
der meister has a rating of: 1663 (today)
so of cause he gets points for a draw, because der meister had a 86 points higher rating.

the ratings in the challenge ranking are different !!!

Hmm, also not that Im complaining but I noticed I'd moved from 40th up to 33rd in a week when I hadn't played at all as I was on holiday! My rating was the same, I just seemed to have gone shooting up the ranking list a lot. I put it down to some people not having played enough games and being removed, and maybe 1 or 2 who had slid down a bit but I generally dont see that kind of movement unless on a nice winning streak!

hi samuel,

we had a bug in the yearly ranking and we removed all players which do not meet the requirements.

so there was a little action within the list.
