Today was a very special Strategotourney held in Eerde, Holland: The Masters. Organised by Johnnie van Geffen.
It was a tourney only for (former-)World champions. All 8 were there including some gravon players as Acerimmer, dcannies, Wussy and JVG.

2. Vincent de Boer (2003,2004,2007) aka lion
3. Luc Adriaansen (1998) aka wussy
4. Steffen Annies (2009) aka dcannies
5. Richard Radcliffe (2011) aka acerimmer
6. Peter van Bodegom (1997) aka Geronimo
7. Johnnie van Geffen (1999) aka jvg
8. Erik van den Berg (2000,2001,2002,2006) aka general_e

Oh, word on the streets goes that Peter van Bodegom played on Gravon with nick Geronimo.
That makes a 100% score for Gravon. _________________ ... there is nothing more to say, is it? |

Am I right in thinking Lightwing is actually banned from Gravon? Im sure someone said that. Or did he just quit playing here?
Those games must have been high quality - generally when I watch 2 of the top players play, it comes down to one gamble with a midrank and whoever goes up a piece its then really hard for the other guy to come back, though it can be done but the level of bluffing required is ridiculous. |

If your saying the most lucky guy wins I do not agree with you. Its no coincidence that many games ended in a draw. The players are very well matched up and I don't think there will be much lotto in these games.
I think the shape and concentration plays a very crucial role. |

Indeed: all very well matched up.
Lots of draws, and all close together.
Here you can find the results and some pictures:

Im not saying there was lotto, but obviously at some stage someone has to take a chance with a captain or a lieu, and if it doesn't pay off and you go down a piece, my experiences of viewing games between the top players is that its hard to recover from that as they are always able to trade down from there - obviously a good bluff can catch anyone out but its still hard. So no Im not surprised there were a lot of draws! |
