Pathetic, coward, wimpy, arrogant, frightened, wuss, pretender, poser, chicken, fraudulent, fake, sham, bully, worthless, insignificant, and jackass. I think that just about covers his behavior.
And you are correct Ace, I counted my record against lowbies too and only had one loss out of 75 games which only proves what Dozer has done is meaningless. |

Sad to see that as well as the 2010 as the total ranking got a rotten apple in the top.
No I dont mean Ace cuz he ducks nobody, but I'm aiming at Dozer and Falke.
Maybe I can try to trick Dozer as he probably thinks I am a newbie.... _________________ ... there is nothing more to say, is it? |

Unfortunately I have had no more correspondence with Hermann regarding this subject.
If I have no reply by the end of April then I will email and ask for an update regarding the subject.
The sooner this fraudster is removed the better imo. |

I'd like to see a playoff style tournament created for the top 32 or 64 players, in seeding order (1 v 64, 2 v 63, etc) with a cut off point to set the seeds. I know some players wouldn't make contact with their opponent to arrange the game, but a forefit system would be worked out and I think most players would make the effort. Obviously it would have to be a best of 5 or something and maybe best of 7 in the later rounds.
I know it would be hard to implement but I dont think its impossible....and then it would be fun to see if Dozer even showed up for round 1! |

hi samuel,
a nice idea, but it never works.
thinking twice: all players, who cannot play (for whatever reason) will get a
loss, the opponent a free win for nothing. this would manipulate the ranking
system.
we cannot force players to play in a tourney.

Maybe more tournaments in a year for extra points.
Even when your last in the tournament, you get some points for joining.
nr1 50 points
nr2 30
nr3 20
nr4 10
nr5 - nr8 5 points
nr9 - nr16 1 point
or even more, so people will join |

hi again,
tourneys are not the key to change a players rating.
we cannot force players to play and this has nothing to do with a ranking
system.
the only problem we have:
the ranking system (kleier is 98% of the elo ranking system) ia based of
the fact that the opponent is choosen by a pairing system like swiss perfect.
we (all live stratego tourneys) chess or go use swiss perfect. but any other
would help too.
the pairing software does not allow you to choose your opponents - if you win
you get a better opponent.
here everyone can choose his opponent and unfortunately is this the backdoor
which dozer use.
i send a mail to hermann kleier if he has a fair solution for this situation.
maybe we can change some settings in the rankings to minimize this problem.
i know that spion has an own rating system in mind ( a dynamic live time rating)
but this needs a lot of time and isnt`t possible in the moment.
lets see if we get some help from hermann.

The tournament(s) wouldnt have to be for ranking points though, just prestige... |

ok, now we are talking....
gentleben gets a room name for the last win of the last fsop tourney.
and of course we can play for prestige and honor:
- gravon stratego champ
- room name
- gold silver bronze nick for 1-2 months
i am open for all ideas which make sence (and most important) fun.
but its doesnt change the unlucky situation with dozer and its not that we
do not care about the problem. its just that we dont want unfair or
unsportive solutions - then we are not better than dozer!
it would be easy to create a a group of players (lets call tehm the ghost group)
which get a time limited double nick.
these players could play games which they lose just to get a ranking between 1100 and 1200.
but playing dozer they play normal and destroy him. 4-5 games and he is
down.
but this would violate gravon rules and even if i like the idea in general, its not fair.
lets see if we can find a solution for the future without these tricks.

On the tournament issue, yes those could all be rewards. I think once the first round is out the way you'd find everyone would try hard to schedule a time they can play the opponent and certainly by the time its down to 8 or 16 players they would.
Maybe the admin can release email contacts to each 2 players who are to face off so they can arrange when. A deadline of a week for each round perhaps. Results will be shown on the battle results list so there is no need to argue about it, as long as the specified number of wins have been made by 1 of the players. |
